Creating Abstract Art

Stretch your creative brain while exploring various concepts, meanings, and methods of abstract art. Work with various colors, mediums, textures, and implements to express your ideas while working toward your artistic goals. This is an easy going class with insights, demos, instruction, and lots of fun! Meets in W6, 607.

INTERMEDIATE ABSTRACT ART PRACTICES (WINTER)

Intermediate to Advanced, Young Adults & Adults

Instructor: Martin Cervantez

This class is a sequel to Creating Abstract Art, and is for those who want to further develop their skills, and understanding of abstract art.  We will focus on more techniques, materials, and methods.  All mediums are welcome!  We will do critiques as necessary, and focus on what is working for you, and delve into the possibilities you may pursue.  The instructor will demonstrate techniques and give guidance based on the needs of the class. Meets in W6,607.

INTERMEDIATE OIL PAINTING (FALL)

Treacherous Corner

Intermediate to Advanced, Young Adults & Adults

Instructor: Martin Cervantez

Have fun in this easy going class while you expand your working knowledge of oil painting techniques, color theory, and composition.  Continue your works in progress, work from still life, or use photos as a reference. Instruction will be tailored to meet the needs of the class.  Any critiques will be enlightening, and constructive.Meets in W-6, 607
